Adventure awaits at Dark Woods Adventure Park! To ensure the best experience for all our guests, we maintain a family-friendly environment through our established chaperone policy, which applies to all attractions including our newest addition, Buccaneer Bayou Adventure Mini Golf.
Our Policy Guidelines
All guests ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult chaperone (age 21 or older) during their visit to Dark Woods Adventure Park. This policy applies to all attractions and special events, including:
- Buccaneer Bayou Adventure Mini Golf
- Lost Treasure Mining Company
- Dark Woods Haunted Attraction
- Dark Woods’ Christmas
- All seasonal events and activities
Important Details
- One adult chaperone (21+) may accompany up to four guests ages 17 and under
- Chaperones must remain in the park during the entire visit
- Valid government-issued photo ID required for age verification
- Policy applies to all ticket types and season pass holders

Yes, organized groups should contact our Group Sales office at (318) 228-1725 for specific requirements and arrangements.
Yes, chaperones can switch during a visit as long as:
- The new chaperone meets age requirements (21+)
- They present valid ID
- They accept responsibility for the group
- The switch occurs at the main entrance
- Staff is notified of the change
No, we cannot make exceptions to the chaperone policy, even with parental permission. The policy helps ensure all our guests have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Yes, the chaperone policy applies to all guests regardless of ticket type or pass status.
Chaperones must present a valid government-issued photo ID, such as:
- Driver’s License
- State ID Card
- Military ID
- Passport
Digital copies or photos of IDs are not accepted.

We’re happy to help ensure your visit to Dark Woods Adventure Park is memorable and fun!
For safety reasons, chaperones must remain within park boundaries during the entire visit. If a chaperone needs to leave, their supervised group must exit the park as well.
Groups with more than 4 youth guests will need additional chaperones. For example, a group of 7 youth guests would need 2 chaperones (21+).
Guests 17 and under without a chaperone will not be admitted to the park. We cannot make exceptions to this policy, so please plan accordingly.
Our established policy requires all guests ages 17 and under to be accompanied by an adult chaperone age 21 or older. Each chaperone may accompany up to four youth guests, and must remain in the park during the entire visit.
The chaperone policy is in effect during all operating hours, including special events like Halloween Haunt. There are no time restrictions – the policy applies whenever the park is open.
